STORY

Narrated by Valedes the Phoenix, our Broadway-bound production of Taking Wing: Legends of Emimencia is the story of Nya, a young Flutterby Fairy. Eager to grow up and anxious to escape the constant bullying from fellow Flutterbies, Nya turns to Eminence Maldor; last of the Griffins. Maldor is celebrated as a hero, defending the kingdom from the ever-present threat of invading Goblins. Yet when the royal subjects gather to thank the Eminence, Maldor is more feared than loved.

When the fledgling friendship between them is formed, their problems are not solved as greed and pride start to make matters worse for everyone in Emimencia. With Nya growing more selfish and Eminence Maldor withering from misguided generosity, who will save them from themselves while keeping the kingdom from falling apart? For the Goblins are returning…
